Dear Colleague,

The Anti-Inflammatory Research & Therapeutics Conference is happening soon onSeptember 10-11, 2015 in Philadelphia, PA. We have designed a comprehensive program that will cover hot topics in the field including understanding the pathways and mechanisms involved in inducing inflammation.

Here are some talks from the agenda:
Keynote Presentation - The Anti-Tumor Effects of the HMGN1 Alarmin
Joost Oppenheim, Chief of Laboratory of Molecular Immunoregulation at NCI, NIH
Recent studies have identified a group of structurally diverse multifunctional host proteins that are rapidly released following pathogen challenge or cell injury and are able to both chemotactically recruit and activate dendritic antigen-presenting cells. Dr. Oppenheim will discuss these potent immunostimulants, called alarmins, that serve as early warning signals to activate innate and adaptive immune systems.

Featured Presentation - STING- Dependent Innate Immune Signaling and Role in Inflammatory Disease and Cancer
Glen Barber, Chairman & Professor of Cell Biology of the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
The focus of this presentation will center on STING (stimulator of interferon genes), which controls signaling and protects the host from disease, and its potential to battle against cancer and DNA-mediated inflammation.

IDO Pathway of Immunomodulation in Cancer and Cancer Therapy
George Prendergast, Professor, President & CEO of the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research
This talk discusses studies of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) inhibitors as powerful immunomodulators to leverage the efficacy of immune checkpoint therapy, radiotherapy or chemotherapy, triggering regression of aggressive tumors otherwise resistant to treatment.

A Foe No More: Reprogramming NF-?B-Driven Inflammation in Cancer Therapy
Pawel Kalinski, Professor of Surgery and Director of the Immunotransplantation Center at the University of Pittsburgh
Dr. Kalinski will discuss different NF-?B-inducible tumor-promoting and anti-tumor inflammatory pathways and different strategies for their separation, in order to achieve optimal antitumor effects.

Bile Acid Regulation of the C3 Alternative Activation Pathway
Glenn Gerhard, Professor & Chair of Medical Genetics & Molecular Biochemistry at Temple University School of Medicine
Bile acids are emerging as key mediators of the beneficial metabolic effects from bariatric surgery. Dr. Gerhard will discuss using a serum proteomic approach to identify the complement component system that appears to play dual roles in inflammation and metabolism.
Session topics include:
Novel Targets in Inflammatory Cytokine Action
Nucleic Acid Sensing Pathways
Metabolism and the Immune System
Effects of the Microbiota onInflammation and Immunity
Cell Death and Clearance Mechanisms

Take advantage of the early registration discount andsave 10%. Or use the discount codercdvb to register three colleagues for the price of two.
